John Gaton ran the Fortune Press from 1920s-1940s. Not a limited edition, but I find it interesting and rather poignant that this key Scottish poet’s own copy of one of his earliest published poetry collections should come up for sale for £20.00.
Maurice Lindsay (1918-2009) was the foremost champion of Scottish culture in the second half of the twentieth century. A poet, writer and broadcaster, with Modern Scottish Poetry: an anthology of the Scottish Renaissance 1920-1945, he single-handedly brought the work of many Scottish poets to a national and international audience.
